perfect base for exploring parks and landmarks in dakar
My stay felt like visiting friends at a charming and warm hotel, with clean rooms and friendly staff who made my experience even better. it's also just a few steps from Noflaye Beach and less than a 10-minute walk to the vibrant Les Almadies area, making it easy to explore beautiful coastal views and local dining spots.

Oh man, the Pork Belly at the nearby Layu Cafe is a must-try! Also, the room in the Superior Double Room was super spacious and clean. The swimming pool was a real treat after a day out exploring.
A little hiccup with the airport transfer—the driver wasn’t there when I landed, so I waited for 30 minutes before grabbing a taxi. Plus, make sure to highlight any food allergies. the breakfast mainly included pastries and mixed fruits, with some melon that I can’t have but they were great at whipping up an omelette for me daily.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and contain balconies that allow you to soak in the view. The pool is a refreshing retreat from the heat, offering a nice escape throughout the day.
Air conditioning in room no. 5 struggled to cool down, making for some uncomfortable nights. A fridge would have been a welcome addition, especially given the heat, which didn't come standard and took effort to switch rooms for it. Breakfast starts around 07:00 AM but you might wait for them to prepare anything hot, so plan accordingly. Wi-Fi connectivity issues also popped up during the stay, causing some frustration.

Exceptional service in a quiet oasis
La Résidence provided a serene escape with soothing ocean sounds and a delightful small pool. The staff genuinely cared for guests, even sourcing a special meal just for me. Breakfast was enjoyable outdoors.
However, the air conditioning in my room struggled, leading to some warm nights. It would have been better with a small fridge for refreshments given the Dakar heat.

The Standard Double Room with Terrace was spacious and very clean, which was a nice surprise. I loved having my own terrace to relax outdoors. The bed was comfy, and the air conditioning worked well, although it could have been a bit stronger at night.

It was just a balanced option for a weekend excursion in Dakar with good value. The breakfast on the open terrace was nice despite the pool pump noise. Bring a water bottle, as they only provide water on arrival.
